CSCs SELLING OF PATANJALI PRODUCTS THROUGH CSCs GOES LIVE TODAY

SELLING OF PATANJALI PRODUCTS THROUGH CSCs GOES LIVE TODAY

Major fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) player Patanjali will soon be able to sell their products via 250000 Common Service Centres spread across the country, with an aim of facilitating the move in view of an ever-increasing demand for such items in villages.

“With the demand for FMCG products in villages increasing, it was decided to use the vast network of CSCs to sell these products. People in villages can come to Common Service Centres and purchase these products and get the products delivered.

VLEs would be able to order products through Digital Seva Portal under “CSC Goods” category.

“The government is focused on the expansion of CSCs because it can transform rural India. CSC SPV has opened doors for popularizing e-commerce through CSCs,” VLEs would have great opportunity to earn handsome amount of margin through selling of FMCG products.

VLE would earn a commission in the range of 5 to 50% (approx.) on selling of FMCG products.

According to the India Brand Equity Foundation, the FMCG sector in rural and semi-urban India is estimated to cross $100 billion by 2025. The rural FMCG market is expected to expand at a CAGR of 17.41 per cent to US$ 100 billion during 2009–25.

Rural FMCG market accounts for 40 per cent of the overall FMCG market in India, in revenue terms. Rural areas also would be the major driver for FMCG, as growth continues to be high in these regions.

CSC will change the current Distribution model with the launch of product on the CSC network as it will be a blend of online and off line system.
